Hey there.
I have a lot of friends who use myspace and they love it. It's a great way to keep tabs on your friends, meet new friends and reunite with old ones. But just to warn you, if you put a picture of yourself up, you might get 100 to 1000 emails or messages every day with perfect strangers telling you that you are cute and asking to be your friend. Then again, the delete button works well if you don't want all that attention, and you can also block people, only letting in the people you trust.
If you are worried about people coming after you, yeah there are a lot of psychos out there, so I wouldn't put up too much information about where you live, yadda yadda.
