LMAO! I just read this entire thread. Good stuff...
But ya, kids are cruel. But I found high school a LOT easier. I stopped hanging out with the "cool" kids (who all ended up having no future, and were total losers) and started hanging out with the "not losers, but not cool kids". I became one of the "average" kids that noone really noticed, but it was a much nicer crowd, and look where it got me!

Very cool, you seem to be doing very well for yourself, and you enjoy life. Most people just don't know how to! I found high school much easier, and yeah, sometimes it's better to just go unnoticed. I liked it better that way, was kinda shy. I didn't begin to break out of my shell until senior year...then again I started hanging out with some new friends from Rocky Horror and Photon (lazer tag) and then later the SCA. Hmm, role-playing, taking on personas, do I see a pattern here?

Thanks! Your right. It astounds me how few people know how to enjoy life. It's remarkably simple. Take whatever it is that makes you happy (for me, a mixture of flying, friends, DT, airsoft and a few others.) and do what you have to do to get them.
And then, your on top of the world.

Yep, it's not that difficult. Tooo many people are stuck in a rut, and they accept that, thinking it's the only way to live. I have a friend who has NOT been happy where he's at - living space, relationship, this unhappiness has stretched for months. I just want to smack him upside the head and say "Stop wasting your time being unhappy and fucking DO something about it!" In fact, I think I will do that. Life is too short.
For me - writing, dancing, playing my harps, traveling, and time to myself (very easy to just say "no" when someone tries to eat into time) and DT of course!! And my A-list of friends.
Ever since I was 12 I knew I wanted to travel and be creative. Never EVER did I fantasize about having babies. No no no no. I wouldn't have time to do just ONE hobby. I am more than content being an Aunt.

Lol. I agree with you there.
"Kids are smelly."- Dr.Grant, Jurassic Park
And your right again when you say life is to short. I hate it when people say "Ive got time" and put something off.
*Slap* No you dont! You got 80 years from birth to death. Do you know how short that is!?! You have 80 years, after that, no gaurantees. Get out there and live!

Lol! Nice! PCO, you’re a trip! That just reminded me of a Friends episode (don’t know if you watch that) Chandler is spending too much time grieving over a bad break-up and the girls are trying to get him to go to a strip club. Which he turns down. Then Phoebe yells at him “You get your ass out of that chair, and come with us and watch naked girls dance around, RIGHT NOW!”
Anyway, yeah, it’s scary enough how fast the time goes. I remember talking with my astronomy teacher about this – why does it feel like time speeds up when you get older?? He said it’s all relative – when you are 10 years old, 1 year is one tenth of your life – 5 years is half of your life. Then when you are 20, 1 year is one twentieth of your life, 2 years is one tenth, 5 years is a quarter of your life. And then when you are 30, well, you know what I mean. The way time flies can get scary – it’s better to enjoy it as much as possible. People waste so much time being miserable and don’t do anything to help themselves. Hell with that. I’m careful about how I spend my time.
Hence the reason why I quit that restaurant gig. *makes scale with hands* let’s see, Palazzo…or Smallville…Palazzo …or Smallvile. The hand holding “Smallvile” hits the floor. Ding Ding Ding! Smallville wins!!
And there’s good times with good friends. Very important. You need to laugh. Not that I need to tell you guys that.
Whoa, I went on a tangent there!

Lol. Yup. Life is short. Might as well go out being happy with your life. I think my number 1 goal in life is to make a difference. So that I can be remembered. Once yot die, its as if you never existed. Think of how many people died before us in mankinds history. Now name as many as you can.
See what I mean? Thats why I want to leave my footprint in the mud.
