Just thought of this now. Here you can post your favourite quotes from anyhwere, that aren't DT related. Don't know why I'm doing this, I just find some very interesting...
Some of mine are:
"Through Adversity, To the Stars"
"The Sky is Heaven, Heaven NEAR Earth..."
"Let this war end in either total victory or our extinction. No further compromise shall we allow."
"We have endured these chafing bonds for eons, yet a single moment of further servitude seems intolerable!"
"What seems to you a sacrifice is merely, to us, an oscillation. We do not fear the interval of darkness."
"We live in a society incredibly reliant on science and technology, where incredibly little is known about science and technology."

"Some dance to remember, some dance to forget" The Eagles
"Because I can say what I mean better on paper" Anne Frank
"Money can't buy happiness, but it can make you awfully comfortable when you're miserable" Clare Boothe Luce (ambassador to Italy in the 50s)

Ah, one particularly depressing one (Albeit sadly true) just came to mind: "We all die alone." Unfortunate, but true...

Not that I like that one... It just suprises me how true it is...
But on a lighter note, to contradict that one, there is this one:
"What seems to you a sacrifice is merely, to us, an oscillation. We do not fear the interval of darkness."

One more to end the night (I'm turning in now to, I guess) :
"Unity of purpose, the shattering of common shackles, a single road we tread."
That's a favourite...

“We all die alone” Hmmmm.
It’s true, unless you happen to be in that miraculous moment in the movie The Notebook – the couple dies together, at the same moment. Really that’s a miracle, and they know it, they even ask each other if they believe in it…and it happens.
If you are on your deathbed, you may have people there with you even when you are taking your last breathe, but yeah, they aren’t actually dying WITH you it. You’re pretty much on your own at the moment, and hopefully you’re crossing over peacefully with no pain.
This is just one of the things I will be learning a lot more about in my harp therapy classes, playing for people on their way out, for a vigil upon request, or just being in the right place at the time it happens. Boy oh boy this is gonna be hard, hence all these classes, preparations and trainings. Whether or not I know I can do this work...has yet to be determined. This is some VERY tough stuff, not everyone can do it.

Indeed... It is tough.
I really like my last one though :"Unity of purpose, the shattering of common shackles, a single road we tread."
I might have to put that in my sig....

Is it this one??
“We're born alone, we live alone, we die alone. Only through our love and friendship can we create the illusion for the moment that we're not alone.” Orson Welles
Here’s some more that hit home with me:
“Life is really simple, but we insist on making it complicated.” Confucius
“There is no one alive who is youer than you” Dr. Seuss
“The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing.” Albert Einstein
“I've never understood why people consider youth a time of freedom and joy. It's probably because they have forgotten their own.” Margaret Atwood (one of my favs)

I think that might be the one where I heard it...
I like the Confucious and especially the Einstein ones you posted.
Here's another good one:
"Everything has it's purpose."

Yeah, that's a good one. Similiar one "Everything happens for a reason" So true. And "Anything is possible"
When I passed my Series 7, I put the confirmed certificate on my fridge, and stuck a post it over it saying just that "Anything is possible" I'm not a math major, I used to think I was completely retarded and I do NOT take tests well, but I somehow got through 6 hours of sheer hell with this exam.
