That job ROCKED. Well for a little while. After four years my eyes were crossing, and I was tired of being jerked around, I had been sending my novel everywhere, and it did make it pass the "slush" pile, but it's not like I was getting special treatment. VERY HARD to break in. Hence self publishing isn't a bad idea. Nope. Entertainment Weekly was under another firm

in answer to that...not really, remember a lot of the books were for kids, so some of the books were 20 pages - and with pictures, some were 100 to 200 pages...very quick reads.
Yeah, I do miss that job sometimes

Oh, okay, I thought you meant mid-length novel type books.
That's still a lot of reading though... But hey, reading for pay, that ain't so bad! ;D

Oh man, it was NICE getting paid to read for awhile there! Plus seeing all the new stuff coming in everyday, it was like Christmas! Not to sound corny, but Belle from Beauty and the Beast would KILL for this job, heh heh. unlimited books, and I was the first one there to see everything.

O that type of stuff I thought you just been talking about reading shit like you don't really care about like for an example Micheal Jackson no longer wants to be a kid and touch them he now grew up and shit like that.

Well….we got all kinds of stuff from all over that was never considered for any of the reviews. In fact I think we used half the stuff that came in, and we got just about everything – including the Michael Jackson stuff. Various publishing houses wrote sugar-coated bios on him, mind you I had this job from 1992 to 1996. Anyway, I do miss this job sometimes, I was sad and happy to leave, guess you could say the departure was bittersweet
