You're so lucky! The only downfall from what I hear is that sometimes the hospitals can get a little overcrowded. Grandma had to spend the night in ER because they couldn't find a bed for her at the moment. But, other than that she is getting the best of care, and I can't blame her for NOT wanting to move here, plus she thinks Bush is an idiot...well, he IS. Aw fuck it...might as well spill the beans and you can laugh some more In a nutshell, sometimes if you want to get the doctor of your choice, you have to pay for it. Some health ins. only reimburse if you get a referral from your primary doctor, and that can involve some red tape. It's just not worth the aggravation over a few dollars. It's a shame really. But...I can always change coverage by year end. And doctors. See, my primary care doctor is being stingy with his referrals, and I think I just sic-ed my new chiropractor on him, because what he is doing is illegal. Eh, let them duk it out, maybe I'll get reimbursed. But I'm not holding my breath. All I care about right now is feeling better. And now I do.

LOL! Noice.
I've heard that actually. I have a friend who's a doctor down in Nevada. He told me about all the Fine print that most Americans have to deal with. It really sucks.
But we're not without our problems too. As you said, whe do have a Doctor shortage. And unless your DYING then you should be prepared to wait. But it's not to bad.

Still not 100%, how about 90%? I am so glad I blew off a bunch of things this weekend, just so I can have time to myself and let my leg heal. I can walk fine, I can even power-walk a little, but doc says NO dancing just yet.
So...I'm lazing around in a T-shirt, sweatpants, a BIG fluffy purple robe and cookie monster slippers, nibbling on Japanese & Indian food, sipping wine and listening to music...and thinking to myself, I really need to do this more often!! (but not too often) Great way to recharge...and I need it.
Going to see Grandma next weekend, on a mission to CHEER HER UP.
That said...all you guys who have not hit 20 or 30...enjoy the free time you have, because when you get older, there won't be very much of it. No matter what you do with your life.
Now...what movie shall I watch? Or shall I be good and learn some new music. Ummm....

Back from Edmonton, Grandma is doing better and seems to be on the mend, getting medical attention AND physical therapy at the same hospital. People keep asking if I REALLY went there to see the game!
Me: "No really, I made plans to see my Grandma for her birthday"
Co-workers: "Suuuuuure you did"
Great game by the way. But I'm beat, no more traveling for awhile.

Someone put this up next to the elevators in my Grandma's building. I copied it down, took it to the hopsital and read it to Grandma thinking she would get a big kick out of it, and she did.
Oiler's Prayer
Our father who art in Rexall Hockey by thy name They will be done The cup be won On ice as well as in the stands Give us this day our hockey sticks And forgive those who cross check against us Lead us not into elimination But deliver us to victory In the name of the fans Lord Stanley and the Holy Oilers
Amen
